Haltern asylum group

A place for sharing experiences

The Evonik Foundation is funding the design of an atrium in the “Am Lorenkamp” refugee center in Haltern am See, Germany.

A covered outdoor area, bicycle racks, a BBQ area, gymnastics bars, a sandpit, a Bobby-Car track, swings, a playground and a large heated garden shed have all been provided.

This house of welcome will be used as a classroom for German lessons, for sport and leisure and as a child daycare center.
240 refugees from the two municipal refugee centers, neighbors and other Haltern citizens are able to use the house of welcome.
