The Evonik Foundation is dedicated to giving children and teenagers the opportunity to attend school and live a carefree childhood. The Foundation has therefore sponsored the work of “Save the Children”, the world’s largest independent children’s rights organization, for many years.
Among other projects, the Evonik Foundation supports four preschools in the refugee camps at Zaatari/ Za’atarῑ and Azraq in Jordan. Some 4,500 children attend facilities with picturesque names such as “Rainbow,” “Sunshine,” “Little Hands,” and “Flowers and Roses,” where they can experience a sense of normality. The preschools offer places to play and learn, but children can also talk to the staff of Save the Children about their experiences.
